Richard Krzemien
Richard Krzemien is an actor who appears in Star Trek: The Next Generation, notably in the episode "The Last Outpost." He plays Selek, the Ferengi leader making his first series appearance, which introduced Star Trek fans to a new adversary for Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the USS Enterprise-D crew. This early glimpse of the Ferengi, crafted by the writers and director Richard Compton, marked a turning point in the show's exploration of alien cultures and commerce. Although Krzemien is better known for his roles outside Star Trek, such as in daytime television, Star Trek enthusiasts appreciate his contribution to one of the franchise’s first deeper looks at a recurring alien race.
