Ronny Cox
Ronny Cox made a memorable mark on Star Trek with his portrayal of Captain Edward Jellico in the two-part Deep Space Nine episodes "Chain of Command." Stepping in during a tense chapter of the Dominion War, Jellico’s firm but pragmatic leadership created a sharp contrast with Captain Sisko’s style, highlighting the pressures facing Starfleet during wartime. Cox’s performance brought a commanding presence that added complexity to the saga of the USS Enterprise-D and DS9 crossover events. Outside Star Trek, Cox is also known for roles in films like Deliverance and RoboCop, but Trek fans remember him for embedding a no-nonsense authority into one of The Next Generation’s most intense story arcs.
