Grand Nagus Zek arrives on Deep Space Nine to establish Ferengi commerce in the Gamma Quadrant and names Quark as his successor, placing the bartender at the center of Ferengi political intrigue. Quark must navigate the challenges of his new status while managing the expectations of Ferengi society and the station’s diverse inhabitants, including Commander Sisko and the station’s crew, as the Ferengi begin their expansion into unfamiliar territory.
