Quark’s mother and the Grand Nagus arrive on Deep Space Nine to announce a controversial new amendment to the Ferengi Bill of Opportunities, sparking turmoil on Ferenginar. The resulting upheaval has led to the Grand Nagus being overthrown, threatening Ferengi society’s established order and drawing Quark into a political crisis that spills over onto the station.
