Captain Jean-Luc Picard is mysteriously abducted and replaced by an alien duplicate aboard the USS Enterprise. As the imposter begins to display uncharacteristic behavior, Commander Riker and the crew grow increasingly concerned and decide to relieve him of command. Meanwhile, the real Picard must find a way to escape captivity while the Enterprise faces critical challenges under new leadership.
