When Captain Picard is believed dead after a violent altercation, Commander Riker leads an away team to investigate the circumstances. During the mission, Riker is captured by a group of underground archaeologists involved in illicit activities. To his surprise, he discovers that Picard is alive and operating undercover within this dangerous criminal network, setting the stage for a tense and complex rescue operation.
