The Enterprise crew, led by Captain Kirk, discovers a planet inhabited solely by children whose aging is artificially slowed. When several landing party members, including Spock and Dr. McCoy, contract a deadly virus affecting adults, Kirk faces hostility from the children while seeking a way to help. Among the children is Miri, one of the few who interacts with the team. The challenge intensifies as the crew navigates the planet’s dangerous environment and the children’s fear-driven behavior to find a cure and protect both parties.
