During an away mission, Neelix is attacked by a mysterious alien species and has his lungs surgically removed, putting his life in immediate danger. Captain Janeway, along with Tuvok and B’Elanna Torres, must track down the assailants to recover Neelix’s stolen organs and save him. The crew encounters an aggressive species known for harvesting body parts as survival, forcing Voyager to confront difficult choices in unfamiliar territory as they race against time to retrieve what is vital for Neelix’s survival.
