After several weeks of unusual behavior, Tom Paris unexpectedly leaves the USS Voyager to join a Talaxian convoy. As the crew adjusts to his departure, Captain Janeway and the senior officers must investigate the reasons behind Paris’s sudden decision and deal with the challenges it poses for the ship’s operations and morale during their journey through the Delta Quadrant.
