Star Trek: Voyager S02E26 “Basics (1)”
Voyager receives a distress signal from Seska, who claims that Maje Cullah intends to seize her baby, allegedly fathered by Chakotay. Despite his doubts, Chakotay fears abandoning the child if the claim is true, prompting Captain Janeway to authorize a mission into hostile Kazon Nistrim territory to rescue the baby. As Voyager ventures deeper into enemy space, the crew faces uncertainty over whether Seska’s plea is genuine or part of a dangerous trap.
