When Voyager encounters a telepathic species, B’Elanna Torres inadvertently transfers a violent thought to a local citizen, sparking tension within the alien community. Captain Janeway and the crew work to resolve the misunderstanding before it escalates, navigating the unique customs and mental abilities of the telepaths. As they assist in calming the situation, tensions rise and the crew must find a way to prevent further conflict while adhering to Federation principles.
