During an away mission, Neelix dies unexpectedly, prompting Seven of Nine to use Borg technology in an attempt to bring him back to life. After Neelix is revived aboard the USS Voyager, he struggles with profound doubts about the existence of an afterlife, challenging his spiritual beliefs and affecting his outlook. The crew must navigate the consequences of his resurrection while addressing Neelix’s crisis and the implications of melding Borg methods with human life.
