When trans-dimensional photonic beings mistake Voyager’s holodeck for reality, they become entangled in a conflict with the characters of Tom Paris’ retro “Captain Proton” program. Captain Janeway and the crew must navigate the chaotic clash between the holographic villains led by Dr. Chaotica and these mysterious lifeforms to prevent further hostilities aboard the ship.
