Roxann Dawson
Roxann Dawson left a lasting impression on Star Trek fans as Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres, the hot-headed yet brilliant chief engineer aboard the USS Voyager. Her portrayal brought a fiery mix of Klingon toughness and human vulnerability, especially showcased in episodes like Parallax and Phage. Beyond acting, Dawson also stepped behind the camera, directing several Voyager episodes and other shows in the franchise. Fans who remember the gripping moral dilemmas in Time and Again or the haunting atmosphere of Caretaker will find her creative touch in how these stories balance action with deeper character moments. Dawson’s strong sense of character and story earned her a unique place in Star Trek lore, not just in front of the camera but shaping the series’ evolving narrative as a director.
