When Vedek Bareil suffers a life-threatening injury, Dr. Julian Bashir takes extraordinary medical measures on Deep Space Nine to stabilize him. Bareil’s survival is critical as he is involved in delicate peace talks between the Bajoran government and the Cardassian Union. As tensions rise, Captain Benjamin Sisko and Major Kira Nerys must balance political pressures while the station’s medical team races against time to keep Bareil alive long enough to influence the negotiations.
